Forgotten Stars at Cannes, was the Renault Alpine A110-50 is the only star of the day on the Riviera. Following the established schedule, it was officially unveiled on Friday noon in the Principality of Monaco which competes this weekend's sixth Grand Prix Formula 1 season.

Unsurprisingly, the A110-50 has officially shown his face in blue livery that sounds like a tribute to most models of Alpine. Moreover, its launch comes as a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the legendary Berlinetta Alpine A110.

The photographs appeared Thursday on the stolen canvas had created doubt in the minds of fans on the veracity of this concept. Indeed, it was rewarded with two mirrors in some photos and one on other. Speculation to oblivion, this ultra-sporty model immortalized by Renault Sport Technologies is well on track with its two mirrors.

For the rest, it has the look that lent him the stolen shots: a false air of Renault DeZir concept and the will of the French manufacturer to put his paw on this racing machine. Indeed, the large lozenge this level makes it almost invisible shield the mythical "Alpine" placed below, identical to what it was for the Berlinetta A110. Moreover, it appears to reduce the aggressiveness of the front of the fireball.

Whatever, the A110-50 has the expected arguments under its hood. Developed on the basis of Mégane Trophy, this concept has the block V4Y Renault, a V6 3.5 24v centrally placed back. Coupled to a six-speed sequential gearbox with reverse gear, this engine develops a whopping 400 horsepower at 7200 r / min with maximum torque of 422 Nm at 6200 r / min.

If the front is weak, the stern of the monster, however, is very muscular, the diffuser to the rear spoiler to fine finish through the blade formed by the optical whose form relative to the horizontal plane is in axial symmetry with that of the rear spoiler. In profile view, one can enjoy the slopes excavated and sportsmanship of 21-inch aluminum wheels that receive a brief orange in the center.

Finally, to make the perfect measure of the concept of Alpine, know that it is 4.33 meters long, 1.96 wide and 1.23 high, with front and rear tracks of respectively 1.68 m and 1.69 meters for a total weight of 880 kg. He announces the rebirth of the sports brand, has disappeared since 1995.

2013 Renault Talisman

RENAULT TALISMAN

Renault has unveiled at the Beijing Talisman, a derivative of the grand tourer Samsung SM7 which, unlike the Lattitude, should not end up on European roads.

It must be said that in Europe, such a sedan in a segment if closed would not have fizzled about references that are the A8, 7 Series or S Class This is especially true that even in the lower segment, that of the road, the smaller segments called "superior", Renault has already tried it, but in vain ...
Indeed, some years ago, the Samsung SM5 rebadgée was renamed Renault and Lattitude for the Chinese market. Then, the diamond brand has decided to launch this concurrent 5-Series and A6 at home in Europe. And so far without real success.

After the case of the Vel Satis and now one of the Lattitude, Renault probably should not retry the experiment and, like Peugeot or Citroën, let the open field in this segment in Europe ...
To return to the car itself, we know that this big sedan 5 m long sail for China a 2.5 V6 petrol or a 190 hp 3.0 V6 petrol as he is 258 hp.
